registration question

We bought Belle from a breeder in Ontario so she is registered with the CKC but we have not recieved the paper work yet but I was wondering if her ancestors will be documented on those registration papers? Her parents were born in Italy and then brought to and bred in Canada. So I was not sure if her ancestors would be documented with the CKC or how that works. I hope that I am explaining myself right but I would like to get a copy of her pedigree and I am unsure on how to do a check on the Italian side. The breeder has given me some names in her background that I have looked up but I would like something on paper. I get so confused with this whole registration thing. Thanks

The breeder should have supplied you with a copy of the dog's pedigree; I'm not sure how CKC registration works, specifically, but you could ask them - www.ckc.ca With the AKC, you can get a printed pedigree for an additional fee - it doesn't automatically come with the registration papers. The breeder would have had to provide pedigrees on the parents to register them with the CKC, so they'd have the information in their records, but any titles earned in countries other than Canada won't be listed on their paperwork.
