Cool What age

In and of itself 16 months is not too old; a lot would depend on the dog and what had been done with him/her up to that point. The best thing would be to go to a couple of schutzhund clubs for assesment purposes. for example my club gives 3 free visits during which i (training helper) and the training director will tell you what we think about your dog's potential. We also evaluate you during that time,,, are you willing to learn or do you already know everything.
How about telling us a little about your dog?

have fun

NY/Long Island Schutzhund Club

I am located on Long lsland, NY. I am very interested in getting my dog evaluated/involved in Schutzhund. However, most folks you talk to think that only GSD, Malinois, Dobies are suitable for Schutzhund. My pup's sire is titled in PSA.

Does anyone know of a Schutzhund club on Long Island that is all-breed? There is a PSA club on Long Island, however no one in the club has ever titled a dog....not exactly the club I am looking to get involved with.
