Please, welcome Bella :)

We rescued Bella this past Friday. She is a ten month old Golden Retriever and has been very abused. My daughter's next door neighbor had her and would beat her for digging, jumping up, if she didn't come when they called her...just anything or nothing at all. I went to visit Friday and when I heard all the commotion I asked what was going on. My daughter said it goes on constantly. I went over, rang their door bell and asked "her" what was going on. She said something like oh this stupid dog, blah, blah...I asked why she has her and she said she can't find anyone to take it off her hands. Well, push came to shove and she turned her over to me. We are now the proud parents of eight furbabies, five rescues and three Boxers. Bella is now an inside dog with a lot of issues, sorry to say, but we are working through them one at a time. She is scared stiff of the doggie door but we are tackling that one first. Actually she is scared stiff of almost everything! I thank God I have such an understanding husband. I could probably rescue an elephant and he wouldn't care.
The good thing is she is very healthy. She came with a clean bill of health. Current on all shots, heartworms, worms. I took her to our Vet with her records and she checked out.

Congrats on your new baby Bella. As far as the lady you might want to drop off a book on dog training and leave it on her doorstep. Not necessarily for her but for the safety of the next dog she gets to replace Bella.

I talk to my daughter everyday and when I talked to her yesterday she said her neighbor asked about Bella. Gina told her Bella was doing great, which she is, and showed her some pictures I had sent. She just could not believe we have five big dogs in the house.
They chit chatted for a while and she said that she is not a dog person. She has decided to get a monkey because a man she works with has one. Gina laughed in her face and told her she didn't need a pet of any kind. She got mad and went home. So please pray for this poor monkey!

Welcome home Bella I am happy that you got her out of that kind of place. I sure hope that lady was kidding when she said she was going to get a monkey! You never know you might end up with a monkey if she does get one

So what if Bella lives in a 5dog house- she is guaranteed to get better treatment there sharing time with the other dogs than she did at that lady's house by herself. What a wack, I hope the monkey drives her insane so he can get rehomed too.
