Cleo had an Epilus removed

Cleo had an epilus removed from the top part of her mouth yesterday. It was very small and not yet wrapped around the tooth or jaw so the vet wanted to remove it before it got big. She didn't require any stitches or antibiotics and seems to be doing ok. She ate all her food last night & this morning and is taking 1/2 a pain killer for the next few days. She has started to sneeze a little and I would like to give her something to prevent her getting sick since my fiance and I both got sick after we had surgery. I am giving her 1/2 a mega vitamin with dinner but would like some suggestions of what else I can do to improve her immunity, any ideas?? The vet has already said if the sneezing continues he will want to see her again.

Thanks!!
Stephanie

Thanks guys!! It appears Cleo is fine. She hasn't sneezed since this morning and is currently chewing a bone. I'm not sure she is actually supposed to be chewing on the bone but she seems very content.

You can give Cleo a little bit of Vitamin C and Vitamin E to help boost her immune system - I use a 100 mg Vit. E and maybe the same or a little more of Vit. C. a day - how much does Cleo weigh? Also brewer's yeast is a good source of Vit B, which the body needs more when under stress. You give that based on the weight of the dog. I use powdered brewer's yeast that I got from the pet store and stir it into some canned food, but they have tablets too, which for some reason, animals just love to eat right up.

Cloe is doing great thanks!

"An epulis is the most common type of tumor in a dog's mouth that is ususally non-cancerous (benign). The epulis originates from the tissue that attaches the tooth to the skull. An epulis can be "locally invasive," which means that it can grow into the tissues surrounding its initial location." Ahh...the power of cheeze it's.
