English Springer Spaniels

Has anyone had experience with English Springer Spaniels? My boyfriend's family had two as hunting dogs and they didn't have any major temperament or behavioral problems; however I keep reading about "Springer Rage Syndrome." Does anyone have experience with this issue in Springers? I'm thinking it might be a misnomer for some sort of aggression rather than an actual disorder, but I have no idea...

I have a friend who has an English Springer Spaniel and she is great. My friend has young children and the dog loves them.

I dont know about 'Springer Rage Syndrome', but if it is the same thing as 'Rage Syndrome' then it is a real disorder. I know St Bernards can get it. Maybe run a search on Rage Syndrome and take 'springer' out and you can read about it... I think its a neurological disorder similar to schizophrenia that causes aggression. I dont think its very common though.
