Naming your puppy after the military?
I have seen a couple who have named their pups after the military, Grunt and Delta Dawg (my dh was a delta dawg in basic)
I can't seem to find any unique names that aren't military, lol. We are getting a boy in a week I thought I liked Tank, but it seems to be pretty common. My sons name is Cannon and I thought it would be cute for my boy and his dog to be Cannon and Tank. But I also like the name Gunner. *As you can tell, my dh is artillery in the army*
Can anyone think of any fancy names to go with Tank or Gunner so they aren't so plain?

I really like Tank, but Gunner is really cute too. Especially since it kinda sounds German and they are German Boxers so...

Well, my dh just told me the other day that he is moving up to gunner position on his gun. So, its almost perfect. But he thinks I am weird, lol. But he isn't really putting out any suggestions that I like, they are just too common.

I think that Gunner is a great name. I see that you are from Ky-are there any Kentucky Derby horse names that you could add to make it even more unique. I am not familiar with the horse's names, but whever I have heard any mentioned, they always sound pretty funky! Have you got to meet your new baby yet? Sometimes when you look at them, their name just comes to you. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

Another suggestion would to be to look up the names of famous people in the army, names of important battles, important generals, that sort of thing. My hubby's a Marine and we considered the name of the first female Marine, the first female Marine general, names like that.

My husband is also a soldier stationed at Ft. Knox. He is a tanker but is currently a drill sergeant. I really like the name gunner too. A few other cute military names I can think of are scout and kilo. Let us know what you decide!

What about "Chopper"? i think that would be cute!
My other thoughts were "Bullet" or "Sarg" (short for Sargent)
if he were named Sarg it would make him sound like the boss of the family...boxers seem to run the show so it would be very fitting!
