Question Help with Latin name

Hi, all! This is our first boxer, and he will be coming home in 3 weeks. We're really excited, but want to name our baby. I had a prior dog (a rescued mutt) that ended up being put down after my family gave him away. We were really upset about it because although he was a nightmare, we all loved him. His name was Max.

So our new boxer will be named Max for short, after our lost friend. But we want a longer 'official' name. What we came up with is 'Maximus Valeo' which from Latin means 'Maximum Valor' or close to that anyway. Can anyone help with the conjugation / arrangement of the phrase? Should it be Valeo Maximus? Or something else? (Never took Latin). Thanks!

Thumbs up

Maximus Valeo is a neat name. Sounds perfect for the Boxer when he has his serious Boxer face on. When he has his clown face on, Max will do just fine! What did you decide to go with?

Talking Glutt!

My vote is for Glutimus Maximus! Agreeing with the clown comment from above, they are times that all that you'll smell is butt or he'll be acting like a total "butt"!!

After we named him, we realized we SHOULD have named him Java. He's a reverse-brindle and definitely has that coffee color to him. And my wife and I go to Starbucks SO often that 'Java' really fits us. But Max is his name now - after my late boxer-like mutt. Maybe we'll get him a sibling.

Not too sure if these are Latin but they sound great for a male and have a 'masculinity' feel to them..Oden and Thor (pronounced 'Thaw'). What do u reckon?
