Toby - definitely Toby. Old English for 'clown' So fitting for our babies.
Had I not already had October (the wonder cat) who is often called Tober, that's what I would have named Jackson.
As it was, Jacks got named after the famous bare knuckle fighter... Gentleman Jackson who was a boxer in the 1700's.

Tie into Roxy
Will he be Roxy's Revenge? Then you can call him Revver or Vengeance
Maybe he'll be Roxy's Revel, or her Revery (then call him Reverence)
Rhymer or Rhymester
There's always Egore!
Choosing a name is always fun and challenging
Happy searching!

My puppy's dad was Riley. I like Reuger. A couple of dogs I've seen around here are Remmington and Ronin. I know a little boys named Ryder and Reagan. Here's a few to get you started.

This is a silly question.. Do you guys like to surf or the beach? The name Roxy makes me think of that. A cute little beach girl, fun loving, free and wild. Anyway, Murphy is a brand of surf board, and still a cute name. Just a thought

Hoover is a good name. After we picked a name for our male boxer, we joked that we should change it to Hoover, because he sucks up everything in sight!

Once you collect all these suggestions, narrow your choices down to three. Make your final decision when you pick up the dog. You will know what his/her name is when you see him/her, if you know what I mean.
When we went to pick up our dog, we were stuck between Harley, Savannah, Sonoma and Napa. As soon as we got in the car to take her home, my husband and I said at the same time - She's a Sonoma, no doubt.

Boxer boy names....
My room mate and I have two females a flashy brindle, and a fawn. They are Eva and Vicky.
Anyways, I have been wanting a boxer boy but I don't have the room or enough time to have another Boxer and make sure they all get enough attention and excercise.
With that being said I will give up the boy boxer name I would have used.
"Fooey"
I hope the hype and back story did not ruin it.

I really like the names Gunther, Rufus, and Cooper. I will definitely use one of those when we get a male.

We need help with a name
I met the heavy weight boxing campion, Joe Frasier in Las Vegas 35 years ago, he stopped by as my friend and I were in a frenzy playing the nickle slot machines. We were 23, pals from high school. Laughing, he said, "Is this the first time you girls ever played the slot machines?" (yes) He asked because we hardly took notice of him. So, "Frasier" for a boy boxer would be cute. Or "Buddy" because we recently brought home a second female, who has been a little buddy to her sister. We can't come up with a name for her yet. The humane society called her Petra...she was "officially unadoptable" because she was so hyper. Caged for almost two months before I came along looking for "a frisky boxer" for my Zoey at home. But Petra's calmed down and is an adorable 16 month old to my other 16 month old which was also adopted from someone too ill to care for Zoey Girl.
They are curled up head-to-head on the couch sleeping the day away from playing so hard earlier today.

Wait until you see your new baby!
I believe it is just like naming a child. often times you have to see what characteristics the animal posses to make a decision. For instance my Boxer is fawn and white, but he has the largest underbite I have ever seen. A lot of times his lip gets stick on one of his teeth and it looks like a lip curl. That is how he got the name Elvis!!
Have fun and good luck,
Jana and Elvis
