Male name meaning "survivor"
I work with a rescue organization and they recently picked up a staffy mix who was thrown out of a car on the highway in IL! They brought him in, helped foot the bill for his recovery and want to rename him. Currently the name is FORD, but they want to name it something that means survivor or strong.
They want the name to be soft though, nothing too agressive as staffy's (just like boxers and pitty's) get a harsh reputation based on their appearance. Ideas?

Try this site - just put in the meaning you want and it lists suggestions. There are pages for strong, but just one for survivor - Sanosuke.

That is such a sad story, and I hope Karma comes back and bites the person(s) who did that on the @$$! As for a name suggestion, Sarid is a hebrew name meaning survivor.
