red alert - there has been a change
Hi everyone
There has been a major change to the little girl we were getting - she has become a boy and is now white with brindle eye patches..... Long story cut short - this guy (in my gallery) was my first choice pup but for various reasons did not happen. Much to my surprise and joy I am now able to have him (I hope, although he hasnt arrived yet). I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch so to speak - but it is about 99% definite he will be mine by Friday. Fingers crossed.
Therefore we now need a boys name - lets start again with the ideas.
Karen & Mambo

You could still go with Maui, the Hawaiian god that lassoed the sun to slow it down and make the day longer.

He looks like a Bandit to me! Or you could make it more Latin, by calling him Bandito

...or even more Latin, by calling him Banderas. (Sorry, I'm a fan.)

Just thought of another name: Iko
It is from the New Orleans song Iko Iko, by the Dixie Cups.
Iko - possibly from the phrase Ago!, meaning "listen!" or "attention!".
Here is more from Wikipedia if would like to know more about the song and origin.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iko_Iko
Anyway my SIL had a cat named Iko and I have always liked the name.
I had thought of it before when you were looking for girls names but I thought it was more suitable for a boy.

He's adorable! My first thought was that the white stripe across his head looked like a Mohawk, which quickly morphed into Mojo.

Boys name needed now..
Well the little fella is arriving tomorrow..... I can't wait.
Thanks again for the suggestions - I love Bandito and Bolero!!! The breeder originally called him Zorro which is a great name (perhaps for the Banderas fan) - then she changed it to "Goggles". I have been trying to think of a name that somehow relates to his two eyepatches. A friend suggested Biggles or Baron which are kinda cool - you know the fighter pilots with their goggles on. Seems to be bit of a "B" theme happening with the names.
I will need to see what sort of a personality he has before deciding on a name.
