Help if you can. I am so sad. (Long-sorry)
Hello-I haven't visited the site much in the last 8 months because I switched jobs and I don't have much internet time anymore. In any case, on Saturday we finally welcomed a new boxer boy into our home. We got Roscoe from the Boxer Rescue LA and he was settling in so nice and he and Roxy, our female boxer, were getting along great! Then on Wednesday, my husband (who is home right now after surgery on his cervical spine (neck)) walked across the street to a neighbor's house for a few minutes and put the doggies in our backyard. Our backyard backs up to a very big and busy street. But it is seprated by a 6 foot wall! Well, when DH came back to let them in, only Roxy was there. Somehow Roscoe jumped the fence. We have literally been looking for him since about 10 minutes after he jumped. He is nowhere to be found so far. I know he wasn't hit because someone (who works in a vet's office) saw him about 20 minutes after he jumped, wandering in the ivy like he was chasing a rabbit (I can just picture that, too!). I am just heartbroken and beside myself. Of course, I notified the rescue and they sent out an alert so hopefully we will find him. We have looked for him constantly since then. Unfortunately, if someone has him (and I think this is the case) they may not turn him in and might just keep him. That is just not right. I know that there are several BW members in the So. Cal. Orange County area. In case he's still wandering out there, I am hoping that you all will keep your eyes open. He was in Yorba Linda, but we all know they can walk for miles. We only had him for 3 days so he only had 3 walks so I don't think he can sniff his way back yet. If you happen to see him try and catch him (safely). He is a 2 year old brindle about 80 lbs. with white socks on all four. He is wearing a blue nylon collar with a "Boxer Rescue" tag. Or maybe you know someone who all of a sudden has a new brindle boxer (I know this a terrible thing to even think - but it happens) please find out if it's my Roscoe. Please help. Thanks for listening.

Thanks to everyone for your support. We are still looking and at this point think that someone has picked him up (and decided to keep him). I posted signs everywhere 2 hours after he jumped and notified BRLA right away, so basically EVERYONE (shelters, animal control, etc.) is on the alert for him. Saturday, 4 of us covered about 5 miles of brush area looking for him to see if maybe he got hit and crawled into the brush. On one hand, we didn't find him hurt, so that's good. On the other hand, we didn't find him. I am going to be posting new signs tomorrow offering a reward and I will also be mailing the flyers to all the local vets so that they will be aware as well. I will keep you all posted. I am just hoping that if someone does have him, they are keeping him safe. I also hope that if they are willing to keep someone else's dog, they will be willing to turn him in for money (which I think is disgusting-but I want him back).
