Found Boxer in Port St. Lucie, Florida

I have found the most beautiful beefy boxer boy. He has a collar and leash on, but no tags. Someone put him inside my screened in patio yesterday. I'm not sure if someone in the neighborhood though he was my boxer and put him on the porch for me, or if someone wanted to get rid of him and thought maybe we'd take him. (We're known in the neighborhood as "the boxer people"). He's a big stocky fawn boy. And if I had to guess I would say he's pretty young. If anyone knows who he might belong to, please let me know. He's an absolute sweety and I would think someone's missing him very badly!!!

Well, I was going to meet his mom after work, but she couldn't wait that long and left work early to meet my boyfriend and pick him up. She was just so happy that someone found him and kept him safe. After I found him on my patio last night, I walked around the neighborhood with him, and then took him home and drove around looking for Lost Dog signs or someone looking on foot. After finding no one, we gave him food and water and a desperately needed bath.

I called Animal control this morning to see if anyone had called looking for a boxer. The lady at animal control said "absolutely, and she's frantic, please call her right away", and gave me her name and cell phone number. She was so, so happy to hear we had him. Seems she was out all night with a flashlight calling and whistling, but evidently we just missed each other. She asked what she could ever do to repay us, but I said nothing. I know how I would feel if my furbaby were lost and I just wanted to make sure he made it home safely. I love happy endings!

Yeah!!!! Great news!!! You know its funny but Fletcher was a rescue, he was spotted a few times wandering and then animal control got a call that he had gone up to a womans house and begged to be let in. She of course let him and, the best part - she had a boxer puppy!!! I wonder if this dog knew you had a boxer and thats why he chose you when he became lost?!

Yeah! Maybe he sensed the "boxer love" radiating from my house! He was such a sweetie, it's made me want another furbaby now!!
