Talking Hello from Conn.

Hello my name is Rob I have been a boxer lover for almost 20 years.I got my first (daughter!)just after me and the wife bought our house. She was 7 years old when she passed due to pancreatic cancer. At 4 years old I brought her to a dog show near my house and had several boxer people ask if I had ever thought of breading her.I was thinking about it my wife was a stay at home mom with my 3 year old.he asking if the his friend could look at my girl for a min.I guess i was a proud pappa that some one seemed to appr. my girl as much as me.Well the man that looked at my girl just happened to be the judge that was judgeing the boxers and after the event he sat down and had a long heart to heart talk and informed me of the what it would take to breed. He informed me of all the stuff that any one thinking of breeding should know with all the information he gave and his # in pocket I went home to talk to the wife about what happened .After a week of talking with my wife Idecided to call the judge. He said my dog was perfect and what he was looking for in a mate for one of his dogs but that before he would go ahead I needed a total vet check (heart, hips, xrays, genetics ,you name it i did it.all together it cost me just to get the ok to breed close to 2500$and that wasnt to mate just to see if she was not only good ped. but healthy in all aspects.Well the breeding went well the birth went better my girl was the best mom and raised 8 healthy pups. All my pups went to great homes and all went with a if ever any reason you cant keep this dog Ill buy it back for the same money you paid me I never want to hear of one of my pups ending up in a pound or worse.Jump ahead a year after the pups I now have mom and I also kept one of her pups. Her name in Nala my daughter named her(my real daughter)When Nala was a little over a year Kacey her mother seemed to get thin over night.I was dealing with r/l issues with my father inlaw he had terminal cancer so I just thought she missed me not being home as much so that night I cooked her a special meal she woofed it down all seemed well.the next day my wife called me from home while I was in work and said Kacey just didnt seem right I told her take her to the vet ill meet you there. As I entered the Vet I was thinking a cold but after about 5 hours and count less tests and the word terminal cancer .It was like I just got hit with a bat I went threw 2 of the worst days of my life seeing my Kacey pass.A week later my father inlaw passed and the day of his passing my daughter came to me as I was crying saying how could it get much worse.Looked at me and said thats ok dad Kaces with papa now takeing care of him and he of her. Some times its the little things in life that we forget. So with love in my heart and my Kaceys daughter Nala things have been tuff but it still brings a smile to my face in one of the worst moments in my life my daughter said the truth Kacey was taking care of papa and I had 7 of the best years with Kacey.Nala is now almost 2 and the next love in my heart nothing will ever replace my kacey but with how much love Nala gives its sure close.I guess in hind sight was it was worth breeding Kacey to get Nala but if I could look into the crystal ball I wonder if she would have come down with cancer.I had 2500$worth of test to make sure she was ok to breed and nothing showed up.I have informed all the pups owners of her passing and how. They are being screened each year for the rest of there lives for cancer. And all are great dogs and loveing family members. So think before you breed Please you could loose a very loved pet.And last all together with checkups the total vet bill for breading and food was over 3500$.After selling 6 pups the stud took pick of the litter and me taking a pup I was in the hole almost 1200$ I made sure to screen all new owners went to each house the whole 9.All my pups have great homes and loveing familys and last I have my Nala
