Hello, Fellow Boxer Owners!

I just joined BW today and am very excited about this website. My husband and I bought a boxer named Zoey in May. This is our first dog and we couldn't be happier. She is a 3 year old, fawn boxer who we fell in love with the minute we saw her. We almost did not buy her, though - we didn't know if we were buying a sick dog or just an underweight one. Her ribs and spine were visible and that was all you felt when you pet her. We are so thankful that we took the chance on her. The vet confirmed the fact that she must have been neglected being as thin as Zoey was then. The vet did give her a clean bill of health and advised we add puppy chow (high in calories) to her adult dog food so that she gains weight. We have put 4 pounds on her so far and she looks great. She makes us laugh every day. I hope you all enjoy your boxer as much as we are enjoying our Zoey.

Welcome to you and Zoey to BW. I'm so glad you took the chance on Zoey

Welcome to BW! I hope that your pup continues to grow and stays healthy. There are lots of great people here to get very sound advice from, and also great info in the nutrition forums on the best food and how to get your pup to grow up nice and healthy!! Good luck and keep us posted!
