Striker's on his way!!!!!

Hello everyone. I am a stay at home mom of 4 children. Benje is 6 1/2, Caleb is 3 1/2, Zana turned 1 Tuesday, and Striker who is 7 1/2 weeks old. My 3 older ones are skin kids. As I type this our Striker is on his way home. He is traveling with my inlaws from Ohio to our home in Virginia. I hope he's taking the trip well. I've called already and will probably call their cell phone again shortly. My husband is in the Navy and unfortunately won't be home until tomorrow sometime. My children are SO EXCITED, they've been counting down the days since we picked Striker out in December, and all of their waiting is coming to an end about 6 p.m. this evening. I'm getting nervous and I'm excited all at the same time. I'm so glad I found Boxer World, and other people that will be making this journey with us. Some people thought we were crazy, because my husband goes in and out to sea frequently. But we've wanted a boxer for 6 years, we've waited until we were done having skin children. So here comes Striker to round out our family, so we begin our adventure as a finished family...........Yeah

Well, our baby made it to our home just in time. My skin kids were asking every minute, "Mommy how much longer?". He's much bigger than he was last month. He's very playful and already loves his crate. My skin kids made sure he was set to go with a bed and blanket that say "My first Bed", "My first Blanket". They wanted to make sure he had a special blanket like they all do. Along with buying all the toys and treats they laid their eyes on, they did a pretty good job. My daughter whose one decided she liked him better in the crate than him following her everywhere she went, she would pet him through the crate and then laugh. He really is a gorgeous puppy. My nervousness is gone and replaced with anticipation for the future with our "Finished Family". Thank you all for the encouragement. Heather, Ben, Benje, Caleb, Zana, and Striker

Today is Sunday, and our Striker is adjusting just fine. He is working hard on house training and doing pretty well. The kids love playing with him all except the nipping of their feet. We used to fight with our kids to keep socks on in the house during the cold months, now they keep socks and shoes on so Striker can't get their toes. He is also doing awesome on his lead, he'd never had one on unttil Friday evening. And he knows the way home from his potty spot too.
