New boxer parents and new members. What a wonderful place to come to read and share stories with all of these boxer lovers.

We became the proud parents of an 8 week old boxer puppy three days ago. Our adorable little girl is fawn with a black mask, a white strip down her nose, a white chin, a white chest and little white tips on all her paws.

We have called her Tipsy for her paws.

Scott had never had a boxer before, but I grew up with all of the love and enjoyment a boxer brings to it's family (and the heartbreak when she was taken). I know that even after the last three days he will never consider any other breed.

Tipsy has settled in so quickly, she loves her food, loves to play, loves to follow her mummy and daddy everywhere and loves to sleep.

It is just like having a baby in the house, all of the preparation before she came home, the shopping for toys and accessories, the big homecoming, the one am and three am wake ups (play and piddle time Mummy), the toilet training (I am convinced she is the most clever puppy ever, only three little inside accidents and I think they were our fault for not knowing the signs. We are learning too!), the preparation of her meals, family and friends dropping in to meet the new addition and now she has been enrolled in Puppy pre school.

It has been the busiest most exhausting three days and just about the most fun we have ever had. I am so proud and excited that we get to share in her growing, her learning and her love. How lucky are we?

Welcome and congratulations on your new puppy. I know how exciting that is. My Maggie is only 8 months old, but I'm still recovering from those first few weeks of new puppy! Boy, was I tired for a while. But, like your little girl, my Maggie is so smart and learns so quickly, it wasn't long before we got a good schedule going and everything began working out just fine.

Best of luck. I'm sure you'll find all the answers and support you could want here at Boxerworld. We look forward to hearing more about your new pup and getting to know you better.

Best of luck.

Thanks for your kind words Dan! I have checked out the pictures of Maggie, she is adorable. Don't they grow quick?

I have posted a cute pic of Tipsy that I took yesterday in the Picture Gallery, we have about a hundred pictures already: including about forty we took on our visits at the breeder before she came home!

Welcome to the board Heather Scott and Tipsy. You have found a wonderful place to visit and find out lots of information. Congratulations on your new baby. She sounds like a real sweetie and I can't wait to go and see the pics of her you have posted in the gallery. I wish I could post some pictures of my handsome boys however I am a complete computer dummy and don't know how to do pictures Take care and keep us updated on the new baby. And again welcome.

Dawn

Smile Tipsy.

What a beautiful little girl! You have chosen the best breed there is, (of course, we may be a little biased!). I am sure that you will be catering to her every need
They certainly grow up fast, much faster than we would like.
Welcome to the board and all of our Boxer stories, there are some funny ones and then there are those that leave you with a lump in your throat.
Where abouts are you in Melbourne? I have a cousin living in Geelong.
We hope to see more photos as Tipsy grows up, you can't stop at just one, it's adictive! We are owned by Sergeant, who is 6 years old now, he also has a black mask and natural ears. He is a light brindle. Helene.

Thankyou Helene, we agree on all counts the best breed and such a beautiful girl.

We are about half way between Melbourne and Geelong in the outer Western Suburbs of Melbourne, actually I lived in the East Geelong area up until about seven years ago. Big place.

Welcome Heather and Scott. The second paragraph of your initial post described our Ana to a "T". We have great taste, eh? By coincidence I saw your photos of Tipsy last night when I was posting some of our Ana. I wanted to vote a 10 for the one of her in the bushes but my @%^$ pc froze on me. Anyway, she looks like a strong contender for Miss Boxer Australia 2001 and I wish you many happy years together.
