Hello from Ohio, USA
Our first two beloved boxers were Milo (fawn) and Jazmine (brindle). They were raised with our children and very much a part of our family. Our children are grown now so when we lost Milo in 2008 and Jazz in 2011, it was like losing our children. We truly found our empty nest unbearable so we rescued Raja, a full blooded female brindle, age 2, then we purchased Samson, a full blooded male fawn. Our son rescued his full blooded boxer, Rocky Rockstar and our daughter purchased Ni Hao, a french bull dog, so when they come to visit, our house is full but filled with lots of puppy love and fun!
Recently, Samson has been experiencing significant allergies which I believe to have started after taking Trifexis. While our vet stated it was atypical for a puppy Samson's age (9 months) to have food allergies, he denies the allergy problem could be from Trifexis. However, further research is indicating this very much could be the culprit. During my research, I found your site and I am excited to be connected with boxers owners via boxerworld.com. I am a mental health therapist and I am training Samson to be a therapy dog so any information would be greatly appreciated! Meanwhile, we are continuing to work with the vet so I hope we will find a solution to Samson's issues ASAP!
