Hello from South Africa
Hi all boxer lovers! I stumbled across this site quite accidentally looking for pictures of boxers. We own a female fawn boxer of approximately 11 years. I say approximately because we got her from our local SPCA and they estimated her to be around 3 - 4 years at the time, which was then 2004. I have never looked back and feel so blessed and fortunate to have found her. She is an absolute delight in our lives. In fact, we will be checking out a male 18 month old boxer at the SPCA on Friday for possible adoption. I sincerely hope the two get on together. Apparently this 18 month old boxer has been shunted to and fro - people keep returning him as he is too boisterous. I am a little apprehensive, but I will find out exactly what the "problems" are. Any advice on possible pitfalls would be appreciated.
Jackie (my boxer girl) has just had a (very costly) knee ligament replacement 2 weeks ago and she has recovered well. The stitches were removed last Friday.
Anyway, I hope this site is still being kept updated, as the last post I saw was dated 2007. Wish me luck and hope to chat soon.
