Brownie and I are new here!
Hi everyone,
This amazing dog stumbled into my life unexpectedly 3 weeks ago. We were driving home when she ran across the street. She was a stray with no identifying information at all. My daughter jumped out of the car to try and get her out of the road. She immediately ran over and jumped right into the car. She was as sweet as she could be. We all fell in love with her before we even pulled into the driveway. I have had dogs in the past (labs and chihuahua) which passed away but I can honestly say that nothing comes close to the experience I've had so far with this boxer. Her personality is amazing. I have never bonded with a dog this way before. I can honestly say I've fallen completely in love with her. We did attempt to locate her owner with no luck. She has no microchip and no one responded to our flyers. We can now heave a sigh of relief as I have never loved a dog so much in so short a time. I took her to the vet b/c she also seemed to have some health related problems. She had a ruptured anal gland which required surgery. She also had a growth/tumor on her front leg which they had removed and are going to analyze. She also tested positive for heartworms. We got her all the shots etc. I've already spent over 1000 dollars on her getting the surgery etc. but truly she's worth it. She even gets along with our cats!! I might be crazy but I've never had such an experience with a dog before. I don't know what kind of boxer she is or if she's mixed. My guess is probably but the vet told me she's a boxer. I'm here to learn all I can about this amazing miracle who has come into my life!
