Hello to all from Layla in Lakeland, FL
Hello to all fellow boxer lovers! My name is Angela and I have been a fur-mother to my boxer, Layla, for about a year now. Layla is currently 4 years old, female, brindle, floppy ears and docked tail. Layla is my first boxer, but I doubt she will be my last! My husband and I had been looking for a dog for about 6 months. We knew we wanted a medium sized rescue dog and had been monitoring the local animal shelters and boxer rescue groups in our area to no avail. One afternoon at work I was reading the paper online and there was an ad for a boxer that happened to be just down the street from my office. I went by on my lunch break and met a nice man who had 5 boxers. He was going to sell Layla because one of the larger, more aggressive females was constantly picking on her and he was afraid she would be injured. She already had a few scars and a slight eye injury from their fighting. She was beautiful - as soon as he brought her out on the leash my heart jumped. Well mannered, sweet and the most soul-ful eyes you have ever seen. I called work and took the rest of the day off so that I could take my new baby home and shower her with affection. Her anniversary in our home will be Dec 17th and we couldn't be happier! She has my husband and I wrapped around her lil' nubbin tail!
