homecooking for colitis

Hi my boxer has suspected ulceritis colitis (boxer colitis) I am giving her a mixture of low residue eukanuba & some bland home cooking while she is on her meds. Can I have some suggestions please for bland food - im told it just need to be low fat. Could I use eggs? Cheese?

Personally, I'd drop rice out of your list above. Grains are of negligible nutritional use to the dog, and they're very difficult for colitis sufferers to deal with (its part of why kibble is so problematic for them - based all on plant matter). The sweet potatoes are a bit better, but I'd go easy on those - for the same reason, its plant matter that is hard on the dog's stomach and of little use nutritionally. Plus, if you're mixing this with kibble, your dog is getting a load of plant matter in her diet already.

Lean meat sources include chicken, turkey, fish (including canned oily fish such as sardines and mackeral), rabbit, etc.
