Smile thank you to all

Tima is a happy pooch once again...he's 8 and over the last year I tried to find a way to keep him happy food wise...Expensive kibble after kibble(even giving the time it took for his tummy to get used to it) to no avail...
For the third day in a row no more "empty belly syndrome" and hard poopies once again. Nothing more special than seeing him at his old silly self again. Playing and being the silly snore face he is.

His stew consists of Walleye(fish), ground beef(all ground meats drained of fat),ground pork, beef stew meat, chicken thighs, apples.cranberries, sweet potatoes, brown organic rice, carrots ,broccoli, peas, green and yellow beans, and giblets (livers and hearts..chicken)
One thing I found that works well with the bones was to boil for 3 hours then put them in my blender with the broth ...left me no chunks.

Great news is it smells like Thanks Giving in here every day and the cats (3 of em)have stuck their head in the pot ...everyone is happy.
I also ground up egg shells as you all said and have only put 1/2 tsp as there is a lil bone meal in his stew....
thank you all for giving me the puppy in him back

Such good news!!! Glad Tima is getting back to himself!

One thing though you had mentioned grinding up the cooked bones. Not sure if that is ok or not. But just make sure he gets NO WHOLE cooked bones at all, whatsoever! Only raw non-weight--bearing bones.

As long as the bones are so soft that they grind up easily, I would think that they would be fine.
