I tried raw and it was extremely messy! Can I just cook chicken and give it to him?

Ok I just tried giving tyson a chicken quarter. He loved it, but he made such a mess. Drug it all over the floor and even had it all over his face and legs. I dont want to bath him every time I feed him, so Im going to have to try something different. Can I just cook some deboned chicken and feed him? If I do this what else will I need to feed him for a balanced diet? I read that they need the bone, so can I just buy bare bones from my petstore or butcher to feed him? I cant cook the bones though, right? Thanks for the help.

If you go on the home cooking site you will find different recipes. I just cook meat and feed it with the kibble, but you can make entire meals (I used to do that). If you have a pressure cooker, you can cook bones and all (chicken). I just throw in leg quarters, hamburger and some offal and pressure cook it for 2 to 2 1/2 hours and the bones mash right up. I have a large pressure cooker. If you are cooking a meal, just put in the meat such as chicken leg quarters with the bone for calcium, offal, vegetables such as sweet potatoes, spinach, peas, green beans, carrots, apples, or whatever you want and pressure cook it. You can add some whole grain pasta if you wish or even oatmeal. Then you can just mash it all up!

LOL - give the dog a chance! It can take a little time to learn how to deal with consuming raw food efficiently. Not a great deal of time, but more than just one meal

In a natural environment, he's have been learning from 4-6 weeks of age. But if introduced to natural food only as adults, most will still get the idea within a few days. They can easily be trained to keep their food in one place too. But again, it takes a little more effort to train than can be achieved in a single meal.
