Question making the switch

well, after reading and rereading bw for the last month or so, i have decided tyson is now going to be fed like us. His poo is loose, and he keeps losing interest in his kibble. Last night I felt so bad that he wouldn`t eat much, he was only eating about a cup and a half a day, even though we leave food out in his bowl. So I decided I would add to it. I had made a roast the night before, so I heated it up gave a little bit with his kibble and stirred real well. You would have thought he was in heaven!! So this morning I did the same thing. But tonight, I tried mixing it with some wet dog food, no go. So I added some more beef, and it was eaten. I mixed about a cup and a half this morning and this evening. I can`t believe he had 3 cups of kibble! I have chicken in the pressure cooker cooking now.
But one question, do you thicken the stew up any? And being that his poo is a little runny,(but not to the point where he has accidents, but runny) the rice would be a good idea, right?
thanks to all for your help
