Well Iams is a very poor quality food (despite the high price tag) which could be a very good reason why your pup's breathe is less than pleasant. You may want to check out www.dogfoodanalysis.com and choose a 4, 5, or 6 star food. If nothing else, your pup will lead a healthier life and it may very well help the bad breathe too.

I agree with Meghan's post...It would be good to read a little about a good quality food and switch him...Food quality makes such a difference in appearance and health..and just maybe will clear the bad breath!!
Good luck

I use Fromm kibble and switch the flavors every bag or 2 and mix in a little wet food either Fromm, Evangers or Wellness Core or Wellnss grain free...once a week the get a scrabbled egg mixed in and 2tsp of salmon oil daily and Prozyme sprinkled on their food to enhance absorption and help with the gas...all seems to work well as their coats are so soft and shiny and hardly ever any gas...

I use Natural Balance, one of the limited ingredient diets (usually either Venison and Sweet Potato or Fish and Sweet Potato) as my boy has allergies. I also use a probiotic twice a day (with each meal) and ProZyme with each meal. Oh and fish oil and vitamin E (both just the stuff humans would take).

Eukanuba, Iams, Science Diet, anything Purina, Royal Canin, I think I've hit the popular brands, are all horrible. Also, any food that claims it has fish oil in it, it isn't going to be enough to do anything beneficial. If you want your pup to have a supplement, whether it be Glucosamine, Fish Oil, whatever, it is best to simply add it yourself.

www.dogfoodanalysis.com
visit the link above and pick a 5 or 6 star food....Prozyme I get at Smart Pak which is close to me but you can get it on their web site or do a search for both that and the salmon oil for dogs and you should find it easy enough....
Good luck
