bad breath

I was going to post a new thread on this but I guess I can add onto to the topic.

Layla just turned 5 months and shes had on and off bad breath (sometimes smells like blood, other times like fish?). It is especially strong in the mornings but even throughout the day shell have bad breath. Other times she wont. I've been feeding her wellness super5mix for a few months now and she had the breath issue before that as well. We brush her teeth about twice or three times a week but until recently she didn't even have that many teeth to be brushed.

What are some suggestions in dealing with this?

Our girls get bad breath from playing and biting eachother not food but we brush their teeth (with a special dog toothpaste) and it works wonders!

my boys have that problem. it's when their anal glands are too full. you can ask the vet to express them.. **yuck**

Thanks crystel. That's the first time I'm hearing of such a thing so I'll be starting a new topic based on that to get more information (instead of taking over this thread). Thanks again.
