Just about any health food store or pharmacy will have it. It is readily available in gel capsule form. Even grocery stores or Wal-Mart have it in their vitamin section. The trick is to pick a fish oil that is tested for mercury, PCBs, and other toxins. Better quality fish oils will say they are "molecularly distilled" on the label. This means the toxins are removed. Others lab-test to determine levels. Generally, fish higher up on the food chain that eat other fish (salmon, Atlantic mackerel) will have higher levels of toxins and you should buy brands that are purified. Fish like anchovies, sardines, and other species of mackerel that feed on plankton are not as likely to have such high levels of toxins. If you can't locate a brand of fish oil that specifically says that it is molecularly distilled, it is generally safer to go with fish oil made from plankton-feeding fish. Fish oil is also sold as a liquid in pump bottles. I find this method of dosing less precise and messy. I prefer the capsules and just drop them in my dogs dish with their kibble and they eat them up. If you have a picky dog, you can pierce the capsule with a fork and squeeze the oil onto their food.
