Holistic flea and tick deterrent

Does anyone know of any natural flea and tick repellant? I've used Frontline in the past but have always been leery that all the chemicals would do him long term harm.

Here is what I posted earlier in another thread:

I have tried many of the vet recommended products including K9Advantix, ProMeris and Frontline Plus. NONE of them has worked. The neighbors behind me obviously don't treat their dogs or their yard so the fleas hop right on over to my yard and onto my babies. I decided to go the holistic route this year since spending big $$ on all the chemicals wasn't working. I bathed my boys in steeped lemon water yesterday and they have been getting garlic and brewer's yeast every day for about a week. I also use a flea comb on them and get at least 5+ fleas off Beau and 3+ off Bailey EVERY DAY! I sprayed my yard yesterday and fogged my house this morning when I left. I hope this works! These mutant fleas are about to drive my boys and me out of our own home

I'll let you know if I see any results! I did a search on the internet to find the holistic remedies. Good luck!

Organic Neem Spray is something that I used last year. You can get it at the pet store. Its made by Azmira. They make wonderful holistic and organic products for our babies. Another thing that you can do add some garlic to their food. Not too much though as it can make them anemic. I gave Luke brewer's yeast before but it made him all dry and itchy

Even if you give your dog frontline or advantage they still get fleas. What the pills are supposed to do is stop the eggs from hatching. I stay clear of those things. My babies haven't felt good on any of those products.

bio band

I use bio band collar by Beaphar
which contains only natural ingradients.
It smells like eukalyptus, and is neem oil based
I also give garlic 2 times a week
