Holistic treatment for Hook worm???
I've had Bella for over a year and she apparently has always had worms. This little girl (she's actually 5, but she's my little girl) has been dewormed a number of times since I've had her and I don't know how many times before.
I got her from a shelter and in her paperwork it said they dewormed her. Well, she was only there for a few days, and you have to give two doses to make sure to kill the eggs. So, they couldn't have completely dewormed her. A few months after getting her I noticed worms in her poop, which has to be tapeworm. So I got medicine from the vet and we got rid of those. We went to the vet a couple months ago for the yearlies and she tested positive for hook worm. So I got the dewormer from the vet again. She's STILL testing positive for them. The vet wants me to come get a higher dose. I don't like the idea of continuing to put pesticides in my dog. We switched to a raw diet about two months and I've read that can help avoid getting worms, but is there anything I can give her that the worms don't like so they'll vacate? Sorry so long. Thanks for reading.
