Question Recs for hollistic dog food?

Hi all,
I am looking for recommendations for hollistic/organic dog food. We are battling head tremers and I am trying everything possible to figure out the cause (even though I am pretty sure it was vaccinations). Any recommendations?

Have you considered raw?
what are you currently feeding and what foods have you tried?
Sorry to answer a question with questions, but...

I don't know that is anything more than anecdotal. I feed raw, I still see occassional head tremor episodes. While I strongly believe that there is a nutrition link, I believe it to be related to low blood sugar as opposed to actual food quality.

i'm with you

we're battling head tremors too. Liam has been having them more and more. and i'm almost tempted to make an appointment with a nuerologist just to have them put my mind at ease. he has them a few times a week....sometimes everyday. i hate that he has them.
we switched to a grain free food (timberwolf organics ocean blue) and he's still having them.
i just don't know what else to do..........i'm looking forward to the responses on this thread.

If you want to put your mind at ease, do a search on this very site. You will see a lot of boxer people who deal with this, some more than others. What you won't see is anyone describe how this condition has given their dog a lower quality of life, or led to anything more than a worrisome owner.
The reason is simple, it's benign. And no one really knows for sure what the cause is. There are many theories, but one thing is for certain, it has no bearing on overall health or life expectancy.

Guess it depends on the dog and the situation. For us it has worked out really well. I have also heard that it could be a cause of vaccinations. We don't vaccinate anymore either so it could all be a part of it.
I understand that boxers are prone to being anemic if they don't eat fairly regularly. Perhaps that could also play a part? I certainly hope that your able to resolve this for your pups. I know it's not a nice feeling watching them go thru that. Keep us posted
