If you want to put your mind at ease, do a search on this very site. You will see a lot of boxer people who deal with this, some more than others. What you
won't see is anyone describe how this condition has given their dog a lower quality of life, or led to anything more than a worrisome owner.
The reason is simple, it's benign. And no one really knows for sure what the cause is. There are many theories, but one thing is for certain, it has no bearing on overall health or life expectancy.
