Talking But I love her mommy, can we keep her?

I just picked up our new foster last night. She is a deaf, white girl and a sweetheart. R.J. adores her. All he wants to do is play, play, play. Sadly for us and good for her, it sounds like she will have a new forever home in just a few days. I wonder if R.J. will be sad when she leaves? He was indifferent about the last foster, but this one he seems to really, really like. Aw heck, I really like her too. Do any other foster homes go through "the empty nest blues" when your fosters are adopted out?

Even if you spend just a few hours with your foster, they all seem to touch you in some way, so I understand what you are saying bout having the "empty foster crate blues".

Your dog may mope for a couple days, but this will soon be forgotten when the next foster comes along .

I'm always sad when a foster leaves. I just try hard to focus on the fact that if Emma's foster mom hadn't given her up, we would have missed out on the little girl that lights up our lives! You are giving the adopting family so much joy-- I hope that can comfort you.
