Unhappy Found a stray pup at work.

I am just heartbroken right now. We have had a stray pup wander up to my work, which is a sawmill. It is a very dangerous environment for an animal. I have delved into the world of rescue and am having such a difficult time. Everyone is full, can't take a stray, just took 7 dogs from kill shelter, etc....... She is such a sweet little thing and it is just killing me. I can't take her home with me because Anaih tends to be very dog aggressive and I don't want to cause any problems with her, that is her home after all. I am just frusterated and running into dead end after dead end. I want to avoid the animal shelter at all costs as I know she would be a wonderful pet for someone, I just don't have the resources or knowledge on how to get her there. I have only one promising lead out of 20 places that I have called today but it is not as promising as I would like. I don't want to leave this girl here at work but I really don't have any other options and this lady said the quickest she could do anything was on Sunday and that might not pan out. Then I would have to worry about something happening for another week with her around belts and saw blades and all sorts of things that can kill her. I guess I just needed to vent and maybe get this girls story out there. If any rescue people on here have any advice I would apprecaite it. I am just so sad right now, she is such a darling little girl.

I don't have any advice, I'm sorry, but I hope you find someone that can help soon. She's lucky she ran into someone that will look out for her! Good luck!! Hopefully someone on here will have some suggestions for you.

Have you taken her to a vets office to have her scanned for a micro-chip?
What about putting up a very large sign at the entrance of your work about having found a dog?
Checked any pet stores, vet offices, etc....for someone who may have lost her and is looking?
Do you have any friends, co-workers, or family members that could foster her until you can find her owner or a new forever home?
Just some ideas!

She isn't a boxer....I think she has some Austrailian shepherd in her but I am not sure. But anyway the good news is...... I found her a place to go. I got a call Friday evening and one of the rescues that I had spoken to was able to take her. She originally couldn't cause she was to get 3 puppies that day. But come 4 PM all the puppies had homes and she had the room for my sweet girl. I took her down Saterday afternoon and was a little sad to leave her. But I know this lady was going to do right by her and is even going to keep me updated so I know what happens to her. My prayer for her is that she gets to go home with an elderly couple, she doesn't really play much and is very content to sit by your side and let you rub her sweet head for hours and hours.

So happy ending for this sweet darling doggy.
