Unbelievable!!!
This news story just broke about an unscrupolous boxer “rescue” that is SELLING dogs unfixed so people can BREED them! Even with all the Boxers dying in the shelters these people are low enough to disguise themselves as a rescue & just add to the problem. Disgusting!
BTW I love how this volunteer took it upon herself to go undercover! We need more people like this!

There are many well meaning people that think they are doing the right thing, and there are people that exploit.
First of all, if the Rescue gets a request for a dog to be used in a breeding program, that should result in the group getting as much information about this person, and passing this on to all other groups, as well as breeders, to keep her from obtaining a dog for breeding.
This article does smell of entrapment and he said, she said...

There is no she said / he said. The rescue’s operator admitted everything. This group should be shut down/ loose their 501c3 status. No reputable rescue would give an unaltered dog to someone wanting to breed. The whole goal of rescue is to find loving homes & to reduce the unwanted pet population by spaying & neutering. If you are allowing dogs to be bred then you are not a rescue. For those of us that walk the rows of the shelters on a daily basis and see the dogs waiting to die this story is beyond disgusting.

If we allowed everyone to operate from "the goodness of their hearts" then hoarding and 200+ dog kennels would be acceptable.
Everyone would want to do non-profit work if the rules did not apply to them. It is standard business practice, in any type of business, to do the research of the laws and follow them in order to benefit the community. To do it willy-nilly, by your own rules, is not benefitting anyone but you.
This woman was playing ignorant very well. Still to be in business and not know or understand the law is just stupidity or shady. In this case, I think it is the latter.
People who ignore the law/rules, are self-serving. Not people willing to give and not expect anything in return. Unconditional. She was making money, no doubt about it. And probably the vet care was minimal, seeing spay/neuter wasn't included in their medical care.\
Disgusting.

I agree. That woman was just "playing dumb". She knew the rules. She just thought there were so many rescues, etc. no one would catch her. Why would you open an operation without knowing the rules. And if she worked with other rescues, wouldn't they have supposedly told her how they were run? YES! She is just a liar.

And why would any true rescue worker give someone information on how to breed MORE puppies?? Yeah she says she told her to spay Roxy first (yeah right), but then tells her how to breed MORE puppies, it just doesn't make sense. I agree, she plays ignorant very well.
