Solid Gold

Does anyone have advice or experience with Solid Gold? After research and talking to a few people I am thinking to switch my boxers over. Part of my leading factor to be switching them over is because I will be moving to Germany this summer and I know for sure I can get Solid Gold there (being that it's based from Germany). I know it's a good human grade food and I like that I can read and understand the ingredients that are in it. So any thoughts about it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Maya

Thumbs up Solid Gold :)

I have used Solid Gold for just under a year now, we absolutely love it!!! My white boxer Roxie ( who is 12+ ) has always had a very bad tummie, throwing up all the time, we always have given our babies good quality food, I have tried omh and different things, she still had a terrible time with it and Old Mother Hubbard is SUCH a good food!!! Anyway Maya and Roxie have been on sg and Roxie never throws up anymore. Really firm stools, beautiful coats. Now, just because this is great for my babies doesnt mean it will be for yours, but, I would definetly recommend it all over the place!!! We even feed them sg cookies. We took Roxie to the vet this past week, we found out she has doggie alzheimers, bless her little heart, and she is very thin, always has been , the vet was very happy she was on solid gold! I cant imagine what shed weigh if we fed her something of less quality. Good luck!

i recently switched apollo over to solid gold. he's been on it for one month now and his stools are very firm. i agree with kcboxer, not all dogs react the same way to new foods, but i was very fortunate that apollo seems to have a "cast-iron" stomach and didn't have one loose stool through his month-long transition. i also use the solid gold seameal and he totally loves it. he licks the bowl clean.

I love Solid Gold Products

After we brought Deeg home from the Rescue, I switched him to Solid Gold. Then I read that someone thought Chicken Soup was a good brand. I decided to try it and was somewhat regretful that I did. He never had an order with Solid Gold and he stayed at a good weight. With Chicken Soup, he developed a doggie smell (body/mouth order) and he began gaining weight. I now have him back on the Solid Gold products and the order is gone and his weight has gone back down to being slim and trim. I have used most of the Solid Gold products everything from the Pet Calmer and Live Extension and the Shampoo and wet/dry dog food. I really like how Deeg acts and looks on Solid Gold; I don't think I'll ever try to switch him again.

Thank You everyone for your advice and inputs. I bought a 4lb bag of th Solid Gold Hund-N-Flocken this afternoon to see how the boxers liked it. They were eating it out of my hand and tried to stick their heads in the bag. So mixed a little in with their regular food and they were in Boxer Heaven, even my "pigmy boxer" (the cat) was trying to eat the Solid Gold. I'm going to switch her to the Solid Gold too, cat food of course.

Sorry I forgot to mention, KC and Apollo, I don't think they'll have a problem switching over, these two fit the complete desciption of a cast iron stomach. Reggie this past halloween got into and ate TWO bags of halloween candy, (don't worry I rushed him to the vet immediatley and it only happened in a 30 minute time frame while I went to the convience store), anyways he had one time of loose stool and after that it was normal. And Lili, she ate a whole bag of pig ears and only had a little gas. Now normally they don't have access to anything like the above but sometimes things happen (and the damn cat can open doors, we've since gotten child locks).
