Oregano for nasty tasting kibble?

Ok, Baylee is on a prescription diet for her urinary problems., Well she doesn't really like the food she is eating now-she goes from Wellness to the nasty processed stuff I don't really blame her. But when I asked the vet what to do if she wouldn't eat it she told me to put Oregano on it. That is what Hills told them, & that for some reason dogs LOVE Oregano. What is your take on this?

I have considered a home cooked diet & BARF but until I get into my new house that isn't possible. We are building a new house (we are the general contractors) and my husband said that if the dogs start eating better than him I am in big trouble. LOL

Any suggestions for when I do start making their food-I basically had them on BARF (well before Brit passed away) but Baylee's urine ph is off and she has struvite crystals again. Besides that, the food they had her on with chicken (Hills prescription S/D) made her allergies go crazy! With a rash on her chin, between her toes & in her ears. So I need to find a supplement of some sort to help her out with the ph, acidity & her allergies.

Seems to me if Hills knows that dogs don't like their food and they themselves suggest putting Oregano in the food, why don't they process it with oregano in it already, to get dogs to like it more?

Frankly, I would take anything Hills/SD says with a grain of salt (or oregano) since they've been lying to consumers for years and years about how "healthy" their foods are and how good they are for dogs. We all know that is just NOT TRUE.
