Looking for a good quality treat for training
What do you recommend/use for "treats" when training? I looked at store bought treats and they all seem to be filled with crap...

I use Zuke's Dog Treats for them and they love it. I usually get the salmon formula. It has pretty good ingredients. No wheat, no soy, no corn!

I use cheese, roasbeef, cut up chicken sausage and I also make my own treats, using for example canned sardines, flour, an egg and some cheese (and bake in oven for 20 min).

Check out the recipes for tuna fudge and liver treats in this thread
1st agility class AGH!
I make the salmon variation of tuna fudge, Oscar and all his classmates love it, and it is not expensive to make.
I also use string cheese. It is very convenient.

I believe in variety. This week alone I used:
Diced chicken breast, leftover steak, frozen peas and carrots thawed, cheese bits (this week it was Swiss), chicken liver sauteed with a bit of garlic powder (yes, it was messy), SALMON BROWNIES (you can freeze them and then just thaw what you need), rice chex, high-protein fish-based kibble (currently I'm using on a trial size bag of Acana), Natural Balance dog food rolls (the tiny ones are the perfect size to grab and go), Zuke's Minis, Solid Gold Turkey Jerky, blueberries, a couple of licks from my cup of yogurt (no artificial sweetener), and the leftover bits of crust from a sandwich.
I change things up and generally try to use a mixture of stuff for the more formal training sessions. I figure that if they never know what is coming, then they can't decide that it isn't worth working for.

My go-to training treat was always cut up pieces of hot dog. It can be a little messy but it worked for us!

The possibilities are endless! As far as store bought treats, we do: Zukes, Natural Balance food rolls, Wellness Wellbites/Pure Rewards, freeze dried liver, lamb lung (Merrick makes one)... ugghhh I know there's more but I'm blanking.
"Home made" treats works great too. Hot dogs, cheese, leftover steak/chicken/whatever from dinner, baked beef liver, fishy fudge, Spam, cheap lunch meat. Get creative
I frequently use kibble, too. It's pretty low-value compared to, say, lamb lung lol but it at least works at home and in our yard. I somehow manage to accumulate lots of sample bags of kibble, so I have plenty to work with and it's different from the kibble I feed her, so she's not bored of it. I have a sample bag of Now! kibble which is where most of our training treats come from at the moment.
