not sure which to choose..
Hi all I hope I am posting this is the right place. For those that don't know I have 2 boy's Musgy is 11 months and Rocky is about 8 1/2 - 9 months old (rescue). I have been feeding them pedigree complete puppy I now know it is not the best but it seemed to work well for them. Now they have changed the food it says new and improved on the bags and it is not working so well for my babies anymore they both have really loose stool. I have looked at the dog food analysis site and I am now trying to decide between blue buffalo and taste of the wild. I know each one has a few different kinds. I am not sure which one and what flavor to go with. I was hoping that I could get some opinions. What do you feed your babies and in your opinion which do you think would be better?
Also not sure if this would make a difference but Mugsy is white and Rocky is
mahogany brindle and it seems that Musgy doesn't do very well with many treats as he will vomit with most treats where as Rocky doesn't the only treats that don't seem to bother Mugsy are milk bones or lean treats and once in a blue moon I will give him a pigs ear. I would greatly appreciate any and all opinions that you can give. I would like to go and get the new food for them in the morning and get them off what they are eating now so their tummies will get better

Glad to hear you are dumping the Pedigree!
I feed Taste of the Wild. I rotate between the 3 different flavors. So far I think they like the Prairie one (yellow bag) the best. Taste of the Wild is a grain free food, which might be good for Mugsys sensitive stomache. Both my dogs do very well with it.

My current dog has severe food allergies so I'm stuck with Natural Balance for him, but I am getting another dog (not a Boxer but a dog is a dog), and I have got Taste of the Wild for him. I prefer the grain free food, which Blue Buffalo is not grian free and has quite a few grains in it.
So I'd recommend TOTW over BB.

i feed Taste of the Wild in the yellow bag (Vension). Tyson does great on it. I rotate between the 3 different flavors. His gas and shedding have stopped completely.

Go onto the TOTW website and they have a store located section where you can put your zip code in and it will give you a list of stores near you that sell it.

My boys eat Taste of the wild prairie (yellow bag - bison and venison)
all good with them! even my sensitive Snatch (fawn) does good.. and it was a pain for me to find a food he's ok with! (allergy, intestinal reactions, itches...)

ok so I have found a store closer and we took a ride and I bought them Taste of the wild prairie ..Do I still feed them the same amount they have been eating (2 cups twice a day) and also would it be ok to put a little water to the food? they both eat very quickly and sometimes choke so I would add only about 1-2 tablespoons of water to make it damp and that seemed to help them. would it still be ok to do this

Sonia is mid-size boxer and I feed her 1 1/2 cups morning and the same in the evening. In the evening, I may mix a spoonful of canned food with it and some warm water to show her I love her.
I recently tried dry versions of Blue Buffalo adult, Blue Wilderness, and TOTW. She overwhelmingly liked the taste of TOTW the best. I fed her Beneful for 3 years and am kicking myself. I feed so much less of the good stuff that I'll probably break even money-wise.
Good luck!

soniador -- that is so sweet. I'm not sure they know the difference sometimes, but I think it is precious that you do that for your girl. I live in PA Dutch Country right now, and that is how everyone shows their affection here -- via food.

I'm her new favorite person since I started the "good food" routine. My husband is sort of in a "don't ask, don't tell" mode :-)

4 cups total sounds a little much. I would check the guidelines on the bag. Sky (8 month) eats 3 cups a day, mixed with some wet food. Mixing the food with water is fine.
