That variety has fish in it and they do not guarantee that their 3rd party suppliers do not use Ethoxyquin.
IMO if you're just coming off of stomach issues something with limited ingredients would probably be a better choice, California Natural, Natural Balance L.I.D., Wellnesses L.I.D. something along those lines. (just be careful with CA Natural as it's very low in fiber and depending on the dog, that may or may not work).

i use to feed california natural before the coltis issue its looking as though she is allergic to chicken and possible grains...i am still on meds for that and just got solid poo out of her today after putting a little hill i/d in there...hamurger was not making it solid...and if i didn;t try to harden it after weeks of baddling the vet was going to put her on a heavy hitter azathioprine...i want to avoid that cuz i think its all food related due to allergies.. need a no chicken food and she is very itchy... i am down to 10mg everyother day(just started that) and sulfasalazine....hamburger meat and rice is not filling her up

Well Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diets has either Fish and Sweet Potato, Venison and Sweet Potato, or Duck and Potato...none have chicken or beef in them. I would also recommend ProZyme and acidophilus at each meal for a colitis dog (my dog was also diagnosed with colitis at 8 months old), since this "combo", we haven't had diarrhea in over a year now.

Rice is a grain although not unheard of it's less common for a dog to have a reaction to rice.
The Wellness versions only have Vension and Rice or Duck and Rice I believe.
No Duck is not too close to chicken, it's duck. When it comes to allergies there's no "too close" everything is individual. My boy is allergic to beef but is fine with venison even though they are "close". But please also remember it coudl be anything (not sure where corn is coming into play as none of the foods you've mentioned have corn so I'm confused), my boy is allergic to Rosemary which is in almost every food. Flaxseed is a common culprit in dogs and it is in many foods, it doesn't just have to be the 2 main ingredients. So CA Natural does not just have chicken and rice, it also has flax and rosemary and other things in it that could be the cause. You may want to try a fish based food, fish and sweet potato or fish and potato or something along those lines since you've had issues with the meats.
Personally my boy had a HORRIBLE reaction to CA Natural due to the rosemary and it lasted a good 10 days HORRIBLE blisters in his feet and ears, horribly red raw paws, red belly, bad bad bad.
I haven't ever actually seen the wellness on the shelves, just on their site, and I can't remmeber what it is now, but there was something in it personally my boy is allergic to which is why I went with the Natural Balance and had good luck. But again, I have to give ProZyme and acidophilus or we don't get explosive diarrhea but we do get cow pies. Digestive enzymes and good bacteria to keep the stomach in good running order is extremely important for colitis and IBS/IBD dogs.
Also make sure you do not overfeed, as that can be a cause for digestive upset also.
Good luck.

this is what i have now...the i/d vet food has alot of corn and grains along with chicken.....
california natural was chicken......i have duck and potato now,.. NB but haven't tried it yet..just got poo to form with the intenstinal diet..that i knew would help poo but no skin...i am giving yogurt 1 lbs a day..we go to specialist on wednesday for the pred issue i have tapered it from 20mg a day to 10mg a day for a week to 10mg everyother day and she is fine with it..except for feet......i think i am on the right track..and everything you have said has been right on the money...the venison might have been introduced way to soon after the allergic reaction to the royal canin rx food....which was chicken and alot of soy...
please keep talking me thru this you are sent from heaven to me right now..please believe that...big hugs thru my tears....

OH yeah I'd get off the i/d food for sure, but make sure whatever you transition to that you either do a bland diet for 2-3 days first of chicken and rice or beef and rice (or potato) and then switch slowly to the new kibble or just make a transition from the i/d to the new kibble over 7-10 days.
I will also say that dairy on many dogs they do not tolerate it well that's why I personally tend to recommend acidophilus capsules over yogurt, one is because it isn't dairy and won't cause stomach upset, two is you will get MUCH more of the bacteria from the capsules than the yogurt itself. And at 16oz a day, that's A LOT of yogurt and very well may lead to stomach upset and accomplish the opposite of what you want.
Personally I do and have done for over a year with success is the Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potato my boy is 67 pounds and he gets 3 cups of this a day 1 1/2 cups in the AM and 1 1/2 cups in the PM. He also gets 3,000mg of fish oil daily (3 capsules) and (1) 400 IU Vitamin E capsule daily, along with (2) acidophilus capsules (one at each meal) daily, as well as ProZyme at each meal. He is a white Boxer so very easy to see any reactions and with this combo he has no rash, is not itchy, has completely normal solid stools, no eye boogers, no problems whatsoever. He actually just went to the vet for his 2 year physical on Friday and she commented on how great he looks and his coat looks especially for a white Boxer and asked what we were feeding him. Said keep it up because he looks great.
Good luck.

Yeah in that case for a colitis pup IMO it isn't nearly enough. You need more of the good bacteria than that, but giving more in yogurt form could cause the runs due to the dairy. So given that it isn't just simple gas, I would recommend the pill/capsule form for him instead.
