raw bones

Can anyone tell me what bones are safe to give my dogs. I give them chicken necks but I would like them to have a good knaw at something for their teeth. I know raw bones & not cooked but what.
i.e Lamb shanks - are these o.k?
Lamb necks?
Any ideas please.

Lamb shanks and necks are fine. Just make sure that they have lots of meat on them. I know someone in Australia that feeds them all the time.

We get Dakota marrow bones from the supermarket. He loves them and once there's nothing left on or in the bone he gnaws on it nonstop.

Marrow bones are good, some dogs can't tolerate them all the time because they are too rich for their tummies.

Yeah we give him one only like once a month as a special treat but the thing I liked most about them is that you have the bone left over as a chew toy and boy does he love to just play and chew on the bone.

NON weight bearing bones are preferred as they are "softer" than weight bearing bones (of course they are all HARD to us).
Easier to break teeth on the harder bones.
My girl had a slab fracture (tooth pretty much split in two from top to bottom) from chewing on a marrow bone (femur). Since going to ribs and other softer bones, she hasn't had any additional problems.
