I agree that runny poop during walks is just the norm. I've tried the high end stuff (Canidae, Chicken Soup) and the low end (Pedigree, Dog Chow, Iams, Kirkland) and none of them have made a difference. From the responses on this site, it's just the norm.

thanks for all of the replies! I bought a bag of Canidae yesterday and have began mixing it in w/ the Purina for the time being so that his stomach gets used to it. Dozer loves it!

Just a heads up on the Canidae. They have switched their formula. Tyson did really good on the old formula, but the change caused him to have massive diarreah. Just keep an eye on him. It may not affect him. There is a large thread on it in the feeding forum.

Breed specific formulas are such a gimmick, there is simply no need to feed them. Royal Canin is also pretty poor quality...take a look at it's rating here:

You might want to check out foods in the 4, 5, 6 category.

Thank-you ehayes21 for the link I always thought I was feeding my pups one of the better dry foods on the market. I am in search of a higher quality food now. I have a 12 year old GSD, a 7 year old Labrador, and little Ripley is 1 year.
