Exclamation Lexi talks back...

Like a typical kid my Lexi who is now 5 months has been talking back. She has always been a vocal dog but in the past few wks she is really vocal! If I have to yell at her she yells back! My other boxer never did that...this is new to me. Also, she just doesn't listen...she can sit and ignore me anytime she feels like it. Especially when she is outside! I can NEVER get her to come to me. Even with treats!! There are times when she listens, but rarely!! She is trained everyday, exercised daily and still uncontrolable!! It can be very embarrassing, especially since I spend so much time trying to get her to listen and behave!

Yelling doesn't work....Johann got yelled at a few times and you could see the wheels turning in his head: "Yay! Its finally time to be loud!!"

There have been a lot of good posts on here about teaching recall, try searching and you should get some good ideas. The biggest one is to not call them unless you can make sure they come back (on a long leash, etc)....otherwise they learn to ignore you.

Have you done any obedience classes with her? They might help Lexi learn to pay attention to you in a distracting environment.
