Definitely make sure they do NOT use any negative training methods.....ie, collar corrections, any shock devices, loud talk, use of hands or feet for discepline, etc. These methods have been proven to not work, if not reverse the dogs reaction to an aggressive one.
Make sure they use positive reinforcing techniques like treats, toy rewards, or affection and positive words.
If they use any negative methods, ask them to leave immediately and look for another trainer. If they resort to the negative to correct, most likely they aren't open to or willing to learn more positive, proven methods.
Also, if they are a good trainer, they should be able to train you in learning not only your dogs body language, but how to read it and react to it. She should be training you along with the dog. Not just coming in and controling the dog with no lesson to be learned by you.
Good luck and check back after your visit. Let us know how it's going!
