This is what it's like for my mom's spitz that barks at anything that crosses the house. It's so bad that they decided to actually disable the door bell, because anybody that's a friend that goes to their house they want them to call in advance and if it's somebody selling something they don't answer the door anyway. But I think their dog is a little bit of an extreme and as you said it's nothing I'm wishing for.
Just looking for a single bark and right now the only barking I've seen from her is the door stopper she thinks she needs to bark at, not sure why.
