Well, I have to say that what I pay is expensive, based on the U.S. availability of classes. However, I'm finding the personal attention wonderful. And, my trainer LOVES Boxers--any intelligent breed, actually--so it's all the better. No fear of stubborness, etc., he has the solution to all of it, which is maybe what a personal trainer can offer over a big class.
The change in Diablo is incredible. What the trainer teaches, he leaves me to practice the rest of the day/week. So far, so good. He is surrounded by distractions, yet focuses only on me. The total point in training, I wish I could've started sooner!!!!!!!!

Geez, count yourself lucky! Cooper only wants to watch, and try to play with the other dogs. He won't even "sit" for me in class and he has known how to do that forever!

Cost of training
We just signed Ollie (14 weeks) up for puppy classes with Custom Canine and it cost $295Cdn for one in-home and 7 on-site classes. This fee also covers a free "hot-line" for life, so you can ask as many questions as you like. Custom Canine is very flexible and you can skip classes if necessary and pick up where you left off, which is very handy. After you pay the initial fee, further sets of classes are $110.

Blade is enrolled in Puppy Classes ....
At the PetSmart store is Maryland. I paid $99 dollars and there is only 1 other puppy in the class. The trainer is wonderful and starts class early and leaves late. He is a true dog lover and Blade after 2 classes sits and lays down on command.
I am very satisfied.....

CJ's mom, when you rescue a dog that has been beaten, starved, tied up, neglected, and what not; there is a lot of work that goes into this. I have worked with Mason for MANY months, and he has overcome a great ordeal. Thanks to Lone Star Boxer Rescue and me. I am by no means a lazy boxer mommy, as impied.

I would never say that about you, but I have to agree with CJ's mom that that is also what I have always heard. My friend has a Choc. Lab that is the best trained dog I have ever been around, when my friend tells him to do something. He only listens to me when he wants. But there must be something to this sending your dog away to training, or they wouldnt be on bussiness.
