Orijin recalled from Australia!

Orijin has pulled all products from Australian shelves due to the fact that Australia is the only country of the 50 Orijen supplies to, to use irridiation on pet food coming into the country for quarintine issues. The recall was issued after 30-40 cats showed signs of neurological disorders, and the only correlation was the irradiation process (http://www.foodmag.com.au/Article/Go...on/432794.aspx)

As an Australian, and was hoping to switch Cleo onto Orijen, I say this is entirely unfair. I recently went through Equine Influenza, which came to Australia from Japan and escaped through the very loose quarentine practices for the Horse Racing industry and conclude that although Quarentine is taken very seriously be it's patriotic citizens, the goverment does not and need to seriously re-evaluate quarentine policies as they are VERY outdated. Feeling VERY frustrated.

I just bought a big bag of Innova for my pup - should I be worried that it went through the same process - have same effect?
The only decent quality pet foods available here are imported , cost a packet (I had to do some very convincing talking to justify cost to husband) and are very difficult to come by - I was so excited that I finally found someone who stocks the stuff (very sad I know LOL) and now this!
