Unhappy Royal Canin Recall

Yet another dog food recall. I don't think many of us feed this to our dogs but I thought I would post it just to be safe.

Royal Canin is not a very highly rated food. I feed Kaybie Solid Gold Mmillenia Beef and Barley and she does great on it.

Re: Royal Canin Recall

I'm torn between this B-26 from Royal Canin. This is specific for boxers, and I've used it for several months, until reading that it was so low on the todem pole. However, while my 5 yr old male was on it, his coat was shinier, his gas almost completely quit, and less smelly. Stools were great! The eye boogers had almost quit, he seemed to do great on it. I've since switched to Solid Gold Wolf King, and now he's back to the smelly gas, more frequent gas, the eye boogers are a little worse as well, but not bad. So what to do?

Re: Royal Canin Recall

Might be worth trying something different again Solid Gold has some pretty good formulas - but there is no food on the planet that suits every dog. Such a thing simply doesn't exist. So if you find that Wolfking doesn't suit your current individual terribly well, then try something different.

I'd suggest something a bit higher in meat content, and lower in grains could be a better choice.
