Please help, she wont move

Please someone be on this early. We are waiting for 2 hours till the vet gets in and I am shaking uncontrollably.

Payton is acting VERY wierd. She cant lay down. She didnt sleep with us all night (her choice) and now she is walking around our bed. It is like she doesnt know where she is. When my DH tried to get her to lay down she cried. She will sit. When I call her name its like she doesnt know who I am. Please has anyone had dealings with this? Is this because of RAW? What is wrong with my baby?

I don't think my reply is going to be of much help to you, I'm afraid. What you're describing doesn't sound much like anything I've come across before, whatever the dog is fed.

Is she showing any other signs of pain such as panting? And how is her colour (check her gums - are they nice and pink, or are they white?). Not wishing to lie down certainly sounds as though something is making her very uncomfortable. Conceivably something is stuck somewhere, but that's really something a vet is going to have to sort out I'm afraid.

her gums are pink. when we tried to get her to lay down she cried and stiffened her legs. We got her to lay down when my DH picked her up and tipped her on her side. She is now asleep on the bed. Is her heart rate low? Please boxerworl give me some vibes. I am shaking....she has to be ok.

If things are that bad, you should take her to an emergency vet.

OK - pink gums are a good sign. She's not in shock or anything like that. Sleeping once put on her side is also good - and very unlikely in an animal in distress. If you're seriously worried, don't hesitate to go to an emergency vet. But it does sound as though things are stable enough that you can wait and be on the doorstep of your normal vet as he opens.

I am on my way to the vet now....I will wait until 7 till they open. I am going to feel silly if it is just constipation....but I dont think it is. My vet doesnt want me to feed RAW at all....I hope he doesnt give me crap for that if it is a bone or something. I am so worried....I will post when I get back.

Just came across this thread, and no doubt you are now on your way to the vet. Hope it is nothing more than a tummy upset and that your furbaby soon feels better. Keep us posted ~ Cathy
