Unhappy Help Aramis is vomiting all over....

Hello people.... we went out of Aramis dry-food last night, the market was already closed so we did him a white rice with carrots and meat, no salt.
Everything was fine till this morning, he started to vomit all over (untill now it's 5fth time he vomit, sice 9:00 till 13:00).
He had all his shots in the vet, so i don't think it's parvo... maybe another gastro ? or somekind of food reaction, since he is not used to eat nothing but dry food and treats.
I have an appointment with the vet at 19:00, i'm working now and so his the vet.
I call my wife and tell her to stop feeding him and give him only but fresh water to see what hapens.
What do you all think ?????????

Poor Aramis

It sounds as though something in the food mixture didn't agree with him very well. It didn't have anything like onions in it, did it?

Rice is a pretty common grain in dry dog food and one that is generally tolerated quite well by dogs, so while it is technically possible for that to be the thing upsetting him, it isn't the most likely. More likely it is the meat or the carrots - had he had either of those things before? And, of course, it is also possible that something else entirely has upset his tummy and it's not the food at all (though that isn't necessarily all that likely unless he just got a shot, or some medication).

The best thing is to do what you're already doing. Encourage him to drink, but don't try to feed him till this evening or tomorrow morning. And then give him a small amount of his regular food. If the vomitting continues though, then it would look more likely that it is something other than food that has caused a problem and a vet visit would be a good idea.

The carrots i've allready been given him, when he got his gastro, so i guess that's not it, as for the meat... humm he have given him beef from the Loin chops and that's about it.

All things he's had before without any problems? If that's the case, then it is quite likely that it's a bug of some kind. Well, if it doesn't clear up quickly, then you're probably in for another vet visit, I'm afraid.

Smile I think everything is o.k.

Thank's gmcloed, but i've just called home and everything seems to be o.k., he's sleeping now and no vomits since i first posted, so i guess i'm "off the hook".
Again have to thank you for the consern, i think it was the meat, since it's been a while since he tasted a good beef...
Maybe i could try to give him some natural feeding with his regular food, humm ?

Poor Aramis That doesn't sound much fun. Still, hopefully he'll be feeling better very soon with the medication. Let us know how he does.
