Balding?

My boxer had puppies about 5 weeks ago. I have noticed a large amount of hair loss on her buttocks and rear flank. It does not look like the skin is inflamed or red. Should I be concerned? I called the vet several days ago and he said it could be from the stress of the puppies. Does this sound right? She is going to the vet tomorrow.

Hello, it is good you are taking your girl to the vet. It is not uncommon for them to loose coat after whelping and raising a litter so that is probably what it is I'll just move this to the health forums where you will get more replies - if you do a search on the board or browse through the health forum you will find some more threads on similar type topics which may help.
