lots of raw meaty bones to chew on

Seriously, bad breath in dogs is often related to dental hygene. You can get his teeth cleaned at the vet, but as a preventative, he needs something to chew on that will keep the tartar from building up. Brushing his teeth regularly or buying him a dental bone to chew on are options - but nature usually has the best way, and that's chewing on bones...

Our new puppy Munson, 4 mos old male, has the worst breath too. Rita, our 3 year old female, never had this problem. Munson is just a smellier dog in general though. I think some dogs just have different chemistry then others, and we got a smelly one. I have always loved the way Rita smelled (even dirty), but Munson is alll boy... LOL I guess I'll learn to love his stink too!!
